More people seem to have already got a hold of boxed copies of Cyberpunk 2077 but CD Projekt are trying to stop any Let’s Plays.
Despite all the secrecy revolving around Cyberpunk 2077, particularly the console versions, a lot of people claim to have had copies for several days now.
It’s not uncommon for physical copies to fall into the hands of fans before the street date, but this seem to have started happening around three weeks before the game is due to be released on December 10.
It’s hard to prove though, as CD Projekt has been coming down hard on anyone who tries to share footage of the game online and have now issued a warning to fans not to try anything before 11am GMT on Wednesday, December 9.
If you do post before that then CD Projekt are going to do their best to have it taken down, which is pretty easy for them to do if it’s just something like YouTube.
Their main concern, at least publicly, is spoilers, with a statement on Twitter admitting that, ‘We’re getting closer and closer to launch and chances are some of you will get your hands on a copy of Cyberpunk 2077 before release day.’
‘However difficult this might be for us to achieve, our ambition is for gamers all across the world to have the same spoiler-free experience at the time the game releases’, adds the statement.
Although footage will still be relatively easy to find if you know where to look, CD Projekt seem to be quite successful so far, in removing it from the more public areas of the internet.
Even so, if you are worried about spoilers you might want to restrict where you go on online until you get the game yourself.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Stadia on December 10. Separate PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions will be released next year.
Have Fun ^_^
