Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar was a Castillian nobleman and military leader in medieval Spain. The Moors called him El Cid, which meant the Lord (probably from the original Arabic al-Sayyid, السَّيِّد). In 1904, after the fall of Valentia, El Cid established an independent principality on the Mediterranean coast of Spain.
He ruled over a pluralist society with the popular support of Christians and Muslims alike. The figure of El Cid has been the source for many literary works, beginning with the Canter del Mio Cid, an epic poem from the 12th century which gives a partly-fictionalized account of his life. This poem, along with similar later works such as the Mocedades de Rodrigo, contributed to portray El Cid as a chivalric hero of the Reconquista, making him a legendary figure in Spain.

Best El Cid Talent Tree Builds
El Cid talent tree – Arch Rage Build (Open Field)
This is the best build for any open field activity you’re planning to do with a lot of range and also march speed that is really needed for that:

Like I said, you want to get the damage but also the speed so when rebuilding this on your El Cid that is not fully maxed (what probably is the case), you want to create this build as follows:
Skill (30 Points) – you need to march speed here or you won’t catch other armies or give them the opportunity to flee from you. In open field speed is key. Working to get the 6% additional march speed is key here.
Archer (46 Points) – this is the talent tree that will add some damage that you also need, especially when using a full archer army, what you actually should with El Cide.
The key here is to get as much as possible without forgetting the extra march speed in the skill tree. Spend all the leftover points here in the Archer Tree.
El Cid talent tree – Arch Damage Build
This build here is a secondary build similar to the one above but with less rage. I’d actually favor the build with the rage, simply because it will make your disarming skill drop faster and give you a greater advantage – but I know several people that swear by this build here so I also wanted to show it to you.
Especially if you run a secondary commander with El Cid that generates some nice amount of rage you can use this to get more damage.

The points are not that different here and the only difference compared to the build above is that you will go further down the skill tree before using the Archer tree, that’s it 🙂
Again, it’s an alternative build and as always it depends on your personal favors which one you will like more.
El Cid talent tree – Rally Leader Build
As rallying objectives is also one of the strengths of El Cid, there’s the build to use him as the rally leader:

Especially in KvK this build was used heavily but it still has some solid points and is up to date 🙂
Skill (44 Points) – get Rejuvenate as fast as possible to get the restored rage, really helpful in my opinion. After that Feral Nature should be your next goal in the skill tree
Archer (30 Points) – now it’s time to work on the Archer tree and the first step would be to unlock Razor Sharp and Venomous Sting after that. If you got this you basically got it all done and the rest of your points is more like spending to spend them. I think the best option is getting Rapid Fire and Arrows Nocked in the archer tree as well because this makes most sense for this build.
