There’s still a chance to pick up a last minute next gen Christmas present, as the Xbox Series S comes back into stock for a brief time.
It’s exactly a week until Christmas Day now but that is enough time to get a new console delivered if only you can find them in stock somewhere.
There’s been little sign of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in UK shops for weeks now, but the Xbox Series S does occasionally turn up for a few minutes, before running out again.
At time of writing, it’s currently available at Amazon.co.uk for £249.99 and while that probably won’t last it does given you a chance to buy the console at its normal price and not the inflated ones on eBay.
The Xbox Series S is not as powerful as the Xbox Series X but its only real limit is that it can’t display at native 4K. That’s a pretty minor compromise for most people though and in most other ways the console’s exactly the same as its much more expensive big brother.
The only other differences are that the Xbox Series S has a smaller SSD, so there’s not much storage space, and there’s no disk drive – so you’ll have to buy everything digitally.
Currently there’s no sign that other retailers have the Xbox Series S in stock and Amazon doesn’t have any of the other next gen consoles in at the moment, not even the Xbox Series X.
It’s still uncertain when the next gen consoles will become easily available but Microsoft has already suggested it may not be until April when you can pick one up whenever you want.
Have Fun ^_^
